Furr wasn’t a high-volume passer in Forest Hills’ run-first offense, but he did flash enough to be on our radar. I got my first in-person look at him at our Prep Redzone Exposure Camp and came away more impressed with his arm than I expected. The speed, change-of-direction, and overall athleticism are all there, so seeing the arm talent made the decision to push him into the rankings an easy one.

Furr had a breakout season as a junior, even if the raw numbers don’t pop on paper. He’s extremely athletic, a true dual-threat who ran for around six yards per carry. He also took care of the ball, with only two interceptions on an offense that mainly ran the ball for about half of his starts. He started to earn more passing volume down the stretch, and the early returns as a starter are promising.

Furr showed poise and resilience stepping into a difficult situation as a junior, taking over after the starting quarterback went down and still producing at a high level. At 6’1”, 175 pounds, he brings good athletic balance to the position and proved he can handle varsity responsibility. Despite limited prep time as the starter, he finished with nearly 1,000 passing yards and 9 touchdowns, consistently keeping the offense competitive. What stands out most is his composure—Furr didn’t try to do too much, managed the game, and made timely throws when opportunities presented themselves. With a full offseason to prepare as the guy, his experience from last season positions him well for a breakout senior campaign.

Noah was a player I had a chance to see up close recently at the CFI Carolinas MEGA showcase, and he had a strong season on Junior Varsity last season for the Yellow Jackets. Noah has very good fundamentals and knows how to stand tall in the pocket and deliver the football. When I watch his film, I love his decisiveness in everything he does – if a read is not there, he’s looking to scramble to make a play. If he is running a zone read, he will make the right read and run if that is what the play calls for. Catch & throw rhythm plays, the ball is consistently out on time and accurate to the receiver. Noah isn’t a dual-threat right now in my opinion, but he is an effective runner that you can’t discount on scrambles or in the quarterback run game. I like his future as a signal caller and leader – you can tell he has a really good command of his offense on film.
