Burnham is one of the twitchier and more explosive runners across Idaho and is coming off a tremendous Junior season for Eagle in which he was one of the top offensive players in the state. He’s a natural ball carrier with elite vision in tight windows and start/stop abilities while able to make defenders miss in the hole. He is another prospect that has been flying under the radar and is going to be a big-time steal for any college program. He’s in line for a truly special senior season for Eagle and should be one of, if not the top rusher in Idaho this Fall.

Burnham checks into our rankings as the top running back in the 2026 class across Idaho and is one of the more explosive and versatile players in the state. He has a strong initial burst from the backfield, good vision and tight windows with cutback abilities and can make defenders miss in the hole while doing a good job at reading his blocks and bouncing outside when needed. He is also a natural pass catcher out of the backfield and has true third level speed in the clear to break away from defenders. Although a bit undersized, he more than makes up for it with his overall speed and twitch and offers tremendous versatility out of the backfield at the next level.

Burnham has been the top running back in the state for the last two seasons when you throw on the tape. He is a complete back that can run in between the tackles and then is balanced enough to make defenders miss. He can catch out of the backfield and even be lined up in the slot to run routes. Burnham is the offensive catalyst for Eagle, it seems like as long as he has the ball in his hands the Mustangs always have a chance. His balance and vision are elite, but he is as tough as they come for someone who isn’t sitting at over 200lbs. He is a game breaker and should be the player to watch all game long.

Burnham checks into our rankings update as the number one running back in this 2026 class, and deservingly so. He is one of the most explosive playmakers in the state, and is a natural ball carrier that runs extremely hard for his size and is a twitchy runner with good vision in tight windows, cutback abilities and can make defenders miss in the hole with ease. He is also a natural pass catcher out of the backfield with good tracking abilities and consistent hands downfield and in the flats. Coming off his 2023 campaign rushing for 1,400+ yards and 18 touchdowns, he looked to pick up right where he left off in week 1, going for 200 APY against a stout Meridian defense and showing he is still the top back across the region.

Burnham is one of the top rushers in the state regardless of class and checks into our rankings as the number one 2026 running back in Idaho. The rising Junior is a twitchy electric athlete from the backfield with short area quickness, lateral movement abilities and has true home-run speed in the clear. Although a bit undersized, he makes up for it with his initial acceleration, start stop abilities and ability to make defenders miss both in the hole and in space before breaking away. He is a gap scheme runner for Eagle that follows his blocks well and knows when to bounce it outside, while always seeming to make something out of nothing and consistently falls forward. Look for Burnham to lead most rushing categories in 2024 and have a big off-season on the 7 on 7 and camp circuit.
