Belbruno is a safety with “center fielder” type range and ball skills. There are several plays on his highlights where he takes great angles, stays patient in deep third and halves, and positions himself to take the ball away. Belbruno also tracks the ball well in the air and can adjust to overthrown or floating passes. I like how he comes downhill and puts himself in position to make plays, rather than chasing from behind. Would like to see him finish lower-body tackles with more wrap-through technique.

In coverage, BelBruno shows fluid movement and discipline, breaking on the ball with perfect timing to create turnovers. Against the run, he plays with a physical edge, coming downhill with aggression and executing textbook low tackles that stop ball carriers in their tracks. His all-around playmaking ability has been a difference-maker this season, as he’s tied for first in the Class of 2027 with five interceptions.
