Expert Analysis
Connor Jackson | Prep Redzone Scout
Roberts is a move-in from MS and will instantly boost the OL for South Gwinnett. Rpberts has tackle traits with mauler tape. He carries 6’4 300 on a long, thinner frame. Skinnier ankles and legs indicate there is plenty of room to add more weight. He is quick on his feet, has functional athleticism, and is flexible in the hips, allowing him to reach defenders from wide alignments and get out to run. Roberts plays with a mean streak, firing his feet and staying engaged on defenders as he works to drive them through the turf, which he frequently does. There are a few FBS offers under his belt, but is a true hidden gem nationally.

A dominant left tackle who transferred to South Gwinnett from Mississippi, Roberts is a promising lineman in the 2027 class who will be an easy addition to the next Prep Redzone rankings update. He’ll likely be one of the best in Gwinnett County this year after a really strong junior season where he consistently mauled defenders in the run game. At 6-foot-4 300-pounds, Roberts can also protect the quarterback and does a great job of blocking hard until the whistle. His recruitment is picking up and now the physical tackle holds an offer from the North Carolina Tar Heels.
