Senior wide receiver Nazir Vines Nazir Vines 5'11" | 170 lbs | DB/ATH Wilson Prep | 2026 State NC caught the only touchdown of the game and made his presence felt throughout the day. He consistently came up with timely receptions in a defensive-heavy matchup and played a crucial role in the run game with his physical, unselfish blocking on several big runs. Vines is the type of player who impacts winning in multiple ways—selfless, dependable, and team-first. With his ideal size and skill set, he has significant upside and plenty of untapped potential at the next level.

Vines does a little bit of everything for Wilson Prep, running for over 750 yards last season, catching seven touchdown passes, and making 40 tackles on defense. He’s a natural athlete and football player, making huge plays in the secondary while being a focal point of his offense. That all-around ability makes his defensive contributions even more impressive.

Vines is a two-way player, a guy who averaged nearly 10 yards a rush and over 27 yards a catch as a junior and one our Joshua Graham is high on as an offensive weapon. In projecting his future position, I like him best as a defensive back where his strength and athleticism shine. He has an excellent feel for what offenses are trying to do and his offensive skill set translates to the defensive side of the ball with his excellent ball skills.

Nazir Vines Nazir Vines 5'11" | 170 lbs | DB/ATH Wilson Prep | 2026 State NC is definitely a player who could surprise a lot of people in the coming years. At 6’0” and 180lbs, he already has the size of a D1 prospect, and his ability to score from anywhere on the field shows just how versatile and explosive he is. His skill set, which includes running between the tackles, lining up as a receiver, and contributing on defense, makes him a true do-it-all athlete. The fact that he doesn’t mind blocking and plays tough on the defensive side as well only adds to his value as a well-rounded player.
Despite not being as widely known yet, Vines’ combination of size, speed, and production already sets him apart from many of his peers. With the ability to contribute in multiple areas, it’s easy to see him transitioning to a full-time offensive role at the next level, and I wouldn’t be surprised if his recruitment picks up significantly after a big 2025 season.
