Nazhier Wilson Nazhier Wilson 6'0" | 220 lbs | LB Monroe | 2024 State NY from Monroe High School really reminds me of a bowling ball because of the way he is able to break through tackles at the RB spot. Wilson uses defenders like pins and throughout his tape was just knocking them down every single time. The ability to take off in a flash shows up time in and time out when Wilson would take a handoff at the RB spot. What is even more amazing is the RB position may not even be his best position on the field. Wilson has been so impactful at the LB spot for his team, and it’s amazing the work that he has been able to produce there. As of right now, Wilson has 66 total tackles on the year, and many of them popped so much fire as he brought defenders to the ground. Being able to split right through holes and bring complete force on the opposing ball carriers really showed the type of defender that Wilson is. A true football player that had me saying wow every time he made a tackle.

Wilson is a 6’0”, 230-pound RB and LB that made so many plays on tape. When it comes to the upcoming season, Wilson wants to lead Section V in tackles, rushing yards, win defensive player of the year, win states, and finally help his teammates maintain a steady work ethic within by being a leader.

At the RB position, Wilson was able to outrun defenses multiple times. Being able to find a hole/lane to break through for a large amount of yard volume was consistent. This is a big RB that does not shy away from contact and will lower his shoulder for extra yards. The sudden burst coming into the handoffs and even using jump cuts allowed Nazhier to gain those advantages against defenders in open space. There is a great-mixed volume of quickness and physicality when rushing with the football.

Turning to the LB position, Nazhier really showed us how physical of a football player he really is. The speed to get behind the LOS to blow up a play was incredible to see. Throughout the tape that Nazhier produced at LB, he was able to make plenty of TFLs. Wilson is an LB that plays at a high level, and attacks with full intensity. Reading and reacting is a valuable piece that this young player has. I certainly will not be shocked if Wilson in fact wins defensive player of the year with another high-level performance this season.

Nazhier Wilson Nazhier Wilson 6'0" | 220 lbs | LB Monroe | 2024 State NY is really thick for a linebacker and wears a lot of weight in his legs and torso where he is very strong. He has good change of direction and his build allows him to really do good work around the LOS against OL. A solid block shedding Wilson also can push OL backwards or even stall lead blockers with his lower body strength and ability to put a foot in the ground and drive. A good tackler Wilson can finish plays around the LOS and he is solid in coverage. A player to watch out for as a lot of eyes will be on Monroe this fall.

Wilson was solid in coverage and only got beat a few times and each time was covering players LBs wouldn’t be expected to cover. Wilson was a good communicator for CTC and was one of the reasons their defense was able to hold multiple teams to limited offense leading to a couple blowout wins.
