Could have easily been named the MVP of this awesome group. I come across small DB groups at camps, winning MVP out of a group of ten doesn’t mean much., Yet this young man stood out embedded in one of the deeper DB classes I’ve seen at one of our camps. Let’s start with the impressive 40 time registered by the Wall HS senior. 4.57 40, weighing in at an official 170 pounds. Tack on an 8’11 Broad and a near sub-7 second L drill, you’ve got a kid who took testing very seriously. Then watch him work during 1v1s. Outstanding hand strikes when up on the LOS. Took the challenge of pressing every kid who aligned in front of him during 1v1s. Can shoot his off-hand and open up his hips to almost force leverage in his favor. The 40 time translates, he’ll punch and run with the best burners at the camp. In the dark as to what his tape looks like, same thing goes for his grades, but he certainly grabbed my attention as an un-offered senior.
