Nate Bryant’s athleticism was the first thing that stood out to me when I threw on his tape. He has really nice speed that allows him to stay in the back pocket of just about every receiver he lines up against. It’s not just the speed though, Bryant’s vertical allows him to go up and contest jump balls against the bigger receivers who often have an advantage in those situations. He’s certainly shown that he’s physical enough and possesses the makeup speed to play an effective press coverage. Doing a nice job holding receivers at the line and throwing off timing, he’s right back on their hip if they happen to slip past him. Playing for a Mica Mountain squad that went undefeated against any team not named Canyon del Oro last year, Bryant could see his production take a big jump heading into his senior season.
