Expert Analysis
Cole Laing | Prep Redzone Scout
Our fifth ranked defensive lineman in the class of ’26 is a force on North Cross’s front. He plays with very good strength and power, with a quick step that allows him to engage offensive linemen with his hands and keep them out of his chest. He has good lateral movement allowing him to shed blocks and defend the run. Has the power to push the pocket in pass rush while also displaying finesse to get around the offensive lineman. Don’t sleep on his offensive line film either at his Right Tackle position. Expect him to be making an impact in this game.

is growing on me each time I watch his tape. They line Hayes up at different spots along the defensive line and he seems to always find a way to the quarterback. A top 40 ranked standout in our 2026 class Hayes looks like a Division 1 football player already in his junior season.

. A mean angry bull who has potential at guard and defensive tackle that should have the Raiders excited to watch him the next three seasons. Hayes is a road grader at right guard and really shines in his run blocking ability. On the defensive line his ability to read and react and maintain his shoulder pads are just as impressive. Like Darius Gray, I may prefer Hayes upside at defensive tackle more, but either way the North Cross Raiders have a star on their hands.
