Runquist has been playing all over the field during his prep career but has positioned himself more as a second level defender through his senior season ad should fit nicely as a inside or outside linebacker in college, depending on scheme and level. He is a very active defender that excels at tackling in open space, flashes closing speed, proper angles and packs a punch at the POA. He shows he can play outside on the perimeter or in-between the tackles and is a true 3 down banger that is always flying around and getting to the ball. Although a bit undersized for the linebacker position, he is very active and plays big in the box and is a tackling machine that will make a big impact at the next level.

One of the more active and twitchy linebackers across Idaho, the Nampa Christian product could end up finding his home at OLB/SS in college and is another no-brainer D3+ caliber player entering into his senior season. He is a very efficient tackler, packs a punch at the POA and can quickly knife into the backfield with the proper angles and bend around the corner. Although a bit undersized for the position, he plays bigger then he is and flys around at all times and is a very high IQ prospect with a quick trigger. Overall, he is a sound player both in the box and in space and will make a positive impact on a college roster.

Runquist is a complete backer that can play on every down. He is a sure tackler that is able to get players down quickly and then it able to affect the passer when he is on blitz. He has a high IQ and react quickly to what is in front of him. He has a strong punch that allows him to shed blockers and then make plays at or near the line of scrimmage.
