Namari Anderson
About Namari
Expert Analysis
Scott Burgess | Prep Redzone Scout
Anderson is a 6’3″ powerful defensive lineman that can play up and down the line. The Montini rising junior is best as a 3-4 defensive end or a three technique defensive tackle. Big time defender vs the run both clogging up gaps along with bringing down rushers. Makes tackles in the backfield on a regular basis. Moves well for his size.

has the strength and technique to dominate the line of scrimmage, consistently shutting down opposing run games with his physical presence. The 6’3″, 265-pound sophomore from Montini Catholic uses his size and quickness to shed blockers and disrupt plays in the backfield. Despite being an underclassman, he has already established himself as a key force on the Broncos’ defensive front, making a significant impact over the past two seasons. Anderson’s ability to control the trenches has been instrumental in Montini Catholic’s defensive success, and he continues to develop into one of the top young linemen in the state.

was a varsity starter on the CCL/ESCC-White squad that finished 9-4 in 2023. The 6’3, 265 lber. also competes in track and field as a thrower, and the freshman tape display a big-framed prospect who holds his weight well and looks like he has some length in his arms. Generally aligns as a 5T, but I can see a move inside to 3T and NG in the cards at some point in the future. Won a significant amount of reps due to his quick get-off, first step, and when working laterally down the LOS. Anderson displays active hand usage and can take advantage when he catches an OL off-balance or out of position and is a strong kid can long-arm and hold OTs at bay when he locks his arms out and extends. He owns a good motor that will clean up loose ball carriers and put in the dirty work in pursuit, is a strong tackler at the contact point, and absorbs contact well and can hold his gap through larger offensive line pressure. You gotta give him his props for the varsity success as a 14/15 year old, and he plays far above what his age would suggest. You’ll be hearing a lot more about Anderson these next three years.

Namari is putting together a great career at the HS level. He was a varsity player as a freshman, and once you get into the tape it is easy to see why Namari was relied on in the trenches as a freshman. At 265 lbs, Namari plays DE in the Montana Catholic 3 man front. The rising ’27 has the talent to win with athleticism or power. He can get hands on, hold his ground, find the ball and then shed the block to make the stop all while holding his position and not giving up ground. Namari can also fire out of his stance with violence and work his way into the backfield to disrupt plays.
