The GHSA sack leader in 2025 earned his first FBS offer from GA State after a successful camp in June. Benoit is a destructive defender off the edge whose motor never slows down. His explosive first step and violent hands help him cross face or disengage blockers to penetrate into backfields quickly, often putting opposing offenses behind the sticks. Likewise, his speed and athleticism allow him to pursue ball careers on the perimeter or from the backside to make tackles in space. Benoit’s frame provides some flexibility for the next level, as he could remain at the line of scrimmage or play off the ball as an outside linebacker.

This is an average of over two every single game. When he is at his best, he is unstoppable, as he has a great frame and great speed to pair with it. He has a deep bag of pass-rushing moves and is a player who is only getting better. Benoit will be a star at the next level, but first, he has one more season filled with surprises and huge moments.

With 24 sacks last year, Benoit was one of the most productive players in Georgia, regardless of position. He carries his 220 pounds on a lean, thin frame with space to pack on more weight. This kid plays hard, rallying at the point to overwhelm blockers, and flashing his motor when pursuing in space. Production isn’t everything, but you have to have some juice and a motor to sack the QB 24 times, and Benoit checks those boxes.

A promising pass-rusher on the rise in Atlanta, Benoit is a max-effort defender who plays hard until the whistle on every play. He fires off the snap and does a good job of using his quick, violent hands to shed blocks and attack the quarterback. Benoit lived in the backfield this season and had a true “breakout” junior season that could lead to some D1 offers later this winter. This fast-rising defender made an impressive 16 sacks this season which was among the most across the 2027 class in the state. In addition to his giant sack total, Benoit also made 64 tackles and 28 TFLs during his giant 2025 season. He also forced one fumble while making a major impact on special teams.
