Karaus plays with good range and has the vision to stay one step ahead of the play. He’s physical, finishes tackles, and can slide between the second and third level without issue. Whether it’s dropping back or coming downhill, he brings versatility and doesn’t shy away from contact and I felt like gained a bunch of confidence seeing how well he stacks up.

One player who probably thought he went under the radar Sunday but didn’t, was Karaus. From the start he tested well and looked like a good athlete. He ran a 4.84 40-yard dash and the rest of his testing was fairly solid. His drill work was promising as well and his footwork is something you can see he’s spending time working on. That, and watching the hips to keep him in phase are 2 areas he seems a step ahead. He had no issue tracking the ball and going up with the receiver to contest the catch. His hands are clean and he wasn’t grabbing jersey, either. He’s young and raw, but the athletic ability and raw instincts are there for Karaus to develop into a really sound football player at the next level.
