Miles has done a ton for his Titans team this season. He’s an excellent slot receiver, but he has moved to the running back position to get his hands on the football a lot more in their offense. Miles also is an excellent kickoff and punt returner on special teams, and has shown the skills to play in the secondary on defense as well. He’s a team leader, and if the Titans are going to make a run in the state playoffs starting this week, he’s going to be a big part of their success.
Miles is a true ATH – he’s played wide receiver, running back, quarterback, defensive back – whatever it takes for this team to win. The Titans have got off to a good start this season and usually have their most success when Miles is touching the ball in a variety of ways offensively. His physical stature does not measure his talent or heart on the football field. Miles is extremely quick with his footwork, and is dangerous in a variety of ways offensively. He can run excellent routes as a running back, and he can exhibit great vision in the short passing game as a receiver.
You can tell that Miles is going to be one of the leaders on this team, and once again this season, expect him to play a variety of roles on both offense and defense. Miles spoke confidently about the best things he does on the field in his interview.
People came away really impressed with Miles. He’s already a very good athlete, and what he showed at this showcase is that he’s more than just a changeup player that can do a lot of things. Miles showed he’s a very good receiver who can run the full route tree, and win in the slot against man coverage. The bonus you get with him is that he can be a threat in the run game, special teams, and on defense – but if he focused as a receiver 100 percent of the time, he would be a player who’s just as good as some of the top receivers in Charlotte. I’m excited to see him once again in the fall.
