About Miles
Expert Analysis
Jonathan Davalos | Prep Redzone Scout
Miles has been on my radar for over two years, and he continues to stand out as a dynamic playmaker. He brings a blazing 4.69 second 40-yard dash and all the traits you look for in a shifty receiver. He does most of his damage on short and intermediate routes, consistently creating separation, but he also has the speed to get behind a defense and track the ball downfield.
What sets Miles apart is his hand-eye coordination and ability to adjust in real time to secure the catch. He was the most impressive receiver at the All Star event, making plays throughout and separating himself from the competition. I expect that same level of performance at Who’s Next as he continues to prove he’s one of the top young receivers to watch.

Miles’ film is giving me yet another reason to believe he may be one of the top receivers in the NJ 2030 class. He continues to impress, putting on an absolute show on both sides of the ball with a two touchdown and one interception performance. Miles can line up anywhere on the field and find success. He is an extremely shifty open field runner who only needs one cut before he’s off to the races, outrunning defenders with ease. I love how his offense moves him around, even using him in the backfield like a running back, allowing him to attack downhill or bounce outside in a flash.
His most impressive play of the day, though, came on defense. After initially dropping into coverage, he quickly recognized the wheel route, planted his foot, and took a direct path to jump the route for the interception. The speed and precision in that transition likely caught the quarterback completely off guard, showcasing just how advanced Miles’ instincts and athleticism already are.

Miles turned heads early, clocking an impressive ~4.6 second 40-yard dash to kick off the day. Coming off a strong season with the Jersey Shore AYF 12u team last year, he proved he could thrive on both sides of the ball as a dynamic receiver and a lockdown defensive back once again.
On offense, Miles showcased his ability to adjust midair, working around defenders to secure tough grabs and showing confidence making contested catches. On defense, he stayed glued to his matchup at cornerback, highlighted by an interception where he jumped a route with great timing. With his speed, playmaking ability, and versatility, Miles wasn’t just one of the most impressive receivers at the tryout, but stood out as arguably the top overall talent as well.

put on quite the show in their lopsided 30-0 victory. Miles exceled in multiple ways that afternoon; he had two touchdowns in that game, with the most impressive one being a catch down the field where he tracked the ball well and repositioned his body to put himself in the best position to come down with it and keep it away from the defender. From there, Miles showed off his speed and acceleration by making a mad dash to the end zone and leaving the defender in the dust.
On Miles other score, he demonstrated great change of direction in traffic and was able to navigate between defenders with sharp cuts on his way to the end zone. What may stand out the most from Mile’s highlights over the weekend is him including the blocks he made for his teammates. It shows that he is a true team player and puts in effort regardless of if the ball is in his hands.

is a dynamic receiver whose quick burst off the line and crafty footwork give him a clear advantage against corners right from the snap. He’s a sharp route runner who can break quickly and stop on a dime, leaving backpedaling defensive backs scrambling to recover. His reliability shows in his hands as he made a leaping touchdown in Freehold’s scrimmage last weekend, and continued to impress in his Week 1 performance in their 30-8 win.
What makes Miles even more valuable is his versatility and toughness with the ball in his hands. He’s a true athlete who can line up not only outside but also in the backfield, giving his team flexibility in how they attack defenses. As a ball carrier, his strong leg drive and quick cuts allow him to fight for extra yards and make defenders miss, often getting them to overcommit before cutting back and extending the play. Miles refuses to go down without a fight, bringing a relentless edge to every rep.

really stood out in his 2024 film, clearly setting himself apart as a top-tier talent in his position group. Miles has a knack for creating separation with ease at the line of scrimmage and downfield, using quick footwork and sharp route breaks to get defenders off balance. A reliable pass catcher as well, Miles is the type of player quarterbacks trust to consistently move the chains and keep drives alive.
He’s not just a technician in the passing game—his determined running style makes him tough to bring down. He keeps his legs driving through contact, refusing to go down on first touch. Expect him to be a focal point of the offense, getting fed the ball often and methodically helping his team march down the field.

Block was arguably the most consistent pass catcher at the tryout. Didn’t “wow” in terms of physical stature or explosive play. Yet, every time I noticed him on a rep, he caught the ball and/or made a positive play. He’s a keep-the-chains-moving kind of kid who is willing to block and should be able to make some grabs underneath in space.
