The other part of his game that goes unnoticed is his strength. Lucas is a big-time linebacker.

He is excellent at reading his keys and triggering downhill in the run game. He is a good tackler, especially inside the box, as he tackles well. He is a physical tackler that offensive players feel his full force. He also does a good job as a pass defender by dropping into pass coverage and taking away passing lanes. Lucas is a good inside linebacker who has excellent defensive skills.

He is good against the run by attacking in or near the line of scrimmage. He then does a good job of making plays against the offense. He is a good tackler, especially in the open field. Lucas also played on the kickoff team and did a good job attacking and making plays against the kickoff returns teams of other teams. Lucas is a good player who should get even better next year.
