He is also a good quarterback with tons of potential. At the 7-on-7 tournament, he balled out. He has a good arm and throws the ball well. His ability to throw an accurate ball is impressive. He has a strong arm as well. Bennett could also play as a wide receiver because of how great an athlete he is. He earned a top performance ranking at the 7-on-7 tournament.

He has a great combination of size (6’3″) and athleticism. He can also score anytime he touches the ball. His athletic traits allow him to make defenders miss in the open field. He also has a physical running style that is hard to tackle. Throwing the ball, he shows off a cannon. He has a very strong arm. His footwork and mechanics need work, but his arm is so impressive that you can clean that up easily. Bennett projects as a Division One Athlete who could play as a wide receiver or as a defensive back at the next level.

No matter the position Bennett plays as a sophomore at Montour, it’s likely he’ll be on the radar of pretty prominent programs recruiting Western PA Football.

Looking at his Twitter account, he has some video from the 7 on 7 tournament, and he flashed some good skills. The left-hander has good mechanics and footwork in the pocket. Bennett has a chance to be a good player this year for Montour.

A frame resembling that of a basketball prospect, Brandon Bennett Brandon Bennett 6'3" | 205 lbs | ATH Montour | 2028 State PA oozes with athletic potential, either at QB for Montour, or at several other positions. I cannot provide much of an evaluation, yet from what I hear from coaches at the HS and college level that I trust, I get the sense that programs recruiting underclassmen from Western Pennsylvania will be intrigued at the very least. Excited to see how Montour utilizes this kid’s skill set.

Brandon Bennett is a big athlete who had limited film from last year but has been playing a lot in the off-season in 7 on 7 tournaments. He plays as a quarterback but is a good enough athlete to play multiple-skill positions. As a quarterback, he is a left-hander and shows a good arm. He throws with good anticipation and understands how to throw into tight coverage. Bennett has a chance to start next year at quarterback and make a big impact on Montour’s team. He is also a good athlete who could play other positions as well.

Bennett has a rocket ship attached to his left arm. He was very effective in AITFam West’s offense, which featured many deep passes and crossers used as check-down options. He demonstrated great accuracy in the middle of the field and was able to place the ball where defenders couldn’t reach it. When attacking at the deep level, Bennett showcased the best highlight reel over the weekend. Although he hasn’t yet had his chance to be a full-time starter on varsity, I understand why Bennett holds his current ranking.
