2027 Tallassee OL Michael Lainez Michael Lainez 5'11" | 290 lbs | OL/DL Tallassee | 2027 State AL was one of the more underrated offensive linemen I watched on Saturday. I was only able to catch part of the big man competition, but Lainez made the most of the reps I saw. His broad build and lower center of gravity made him a difficult matchup for defensive linemen trying to work around him or gain positional advantage. Lainez also moved well in the short area, showing the foot quickness to adequately mirror and stay attached as reps developed. He consistently played with good leverage, getting underneath defenders and knocking them off their path. Based on what I saw, he is a player worthy of small college consideration.

Lainez is an extremely physical IOL who consistently helps open up huge rushing lanes. Lainez explodes out of his stance and has the size and power to drive defenders several yards off the LOS, leading his teammates to huge carries on the ground.

I’m most impressed with Lainez’s effort. He does an excellent job playing through the whistle, frequently pancaking defenders into the dirt for some incredibly fun highlight plays.
