Mekhi makes an impressive debut in the MD 2027 rankings. Coming in with a spot in the top 100 at #89 overall and just outside the top 10 edge rushers at #11. A player I am excited to see live this fall, with his 6’6″ frame that should fill out well he should pass the eye ball test on the field with ease.

Mekhi transfers to Coolidge (DC) from McKinley Tech (DC) and is poised to be a big time impact player for them. He is an edge defender that can play stand up OLB or with his hand in the dirt. Displaying nice burst off the snap, Mekhi can bring speed to power, bend the edge & flatten. Good overall athlete, he runs on his toes with a good motor, and quick hips.feet. Still a bit raw overall as a prospect, he just needs some coaching up still with his pass rush moves and putting it all together. With all that combined he possesses such a high ceiling that he could be a late senior year bloomer that burst onto the scene.

Mekhi started reaching the ceiling potential this spring/summer picking up offers from Bryant and Morgan State. Look for him to pick up some late FBS interest if he performs how I think he can this fall.
