2027 Rankings Update: New Names to Know

A basketball player from New Zealand, never before playing football until this upcoming season. He makes his debut as a top 50 player in the state with the potential to be a top 10-15 prospect. Chima possesses massive size at 6'8" with a yoked up lean 285lbs frame. A strong athlete as well, he is very fluid his movement and runs on his toes. With good bend and smooth hips he can get going with force. Tre's play on the field stands out and he was a miss on my end of the season rankings in the winter. A twitchy athlete, Tre has good wiggle and COD in the hips. He is quick to trigger on the ball, showcasing disciplined eyes and plus ball skills. While also not being shy of contact at all and more than willing to come up and make the tackle. Coming in with a spot in the top 100 at #89 overall and just outside the top 10 edge rushers at #11. A player I am excited to see live this fall, with his 6'6" frame that should fill out well he should pass the eye ball test on the field with ease. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"placeholder":"Add evaluation here...","className":"text-gray-700"} --> <p class="text-gray-700">Mekhi transfers to Coolidge (DC) from McKinley Tech (DC) and is poised to be a big time impact player for them. He is an edge defender that can play stand up OLB or with his hand in the dirt. Displaying nice burst off the snap, Mekhi can bring speed to power, bend the edge &amp; flatten. Good overall athlete, he runs on his toes with a good motor, and quick hips.feet. Still a bit raw overall as a prospect, he just needs some coaching up still with his pass rush moves and putting it all together. I got to see Justin live earlier this spring at the MFCS Elite 100 Showcase where he put on an impressive performance and really caught my eye. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A versatile WR, Justin can work outside getting vertical or in the slot making plays across the MOF. He has great stop &amp; starts ability, pushing vertical to get defenders on their heels before breaking out to create separation. A smooth route runner, Justin can stem his route &amp; makes precise cuts with no loss of momentum/wasted steps. During the showcase he showcased strong ball skills, getting his head around quick to find it and snatching the ball out of the air. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Justin currently holds two FCS offers from Del State and Rhode Island. I expect him to be one of GC's top receiving targets along with 2028 WR prospect Corey Smith. He was a top performer at the National Preps Spring Showcase and dominated many other camps during the spring catching the eyes of plenty of college coaches. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Possessing nice size and overall athleticism for the position. Carter offers lots of positional versatility, able to plays as an H-back, inline or flexed out as a big receiver. With good burst and speed recording a 4.9 laser 40, Carter is able to make down the field plays in the passing game. A smooth and fluid runner with sure hands, Carter consistently catches the ball away from his body &amp; plucks the ball from the air.
