Mitchell picked up his first D-I offer from Portland St. at the beginning of the month after showing promising flashes as a freshman. He’s a slender athlete at 5’11″/160 that’s shown strong hands and ball-tracking making difficult catches. He’ll be competing for targets among one of the most talented pass-catching groups in the state, but he should provide some valuable playmaking for Arbor View’s offense given the athletic skillset he possesses. Keep an eye on Mitchell as he continues to grow and develop.

Prep Redzone Lead Scout

A long, lean Wide Receiver that can blow past Defensive Backs if they play on their heels or with their knees locked. Runs pretty well and picks up speed as he gets into his routes. Didn’t show elite speed but certainly has the ability to blow past guys who get caught looking in the backfield. Stretched the field vertically well right now and best routes seem to be deeper and into the middle of the field. Really good body control and moves fluidly when running himself open. A confident kid who can also be used as a Safety with his length and ball skills.
