Maxwell Baroni
About Maxwell
Expert Analysis
Marquisse Silva | Prep Redzone Scout
Maxwell measured in 5’8″ and 175 pounds. He plays at Minnechaug Regional High School in Massachusetts. He has a 3.9 GPA. He was recorded at 4.92 for his best 40 yard dash time at the camp. Max has a nice solid stocky frame. He is a very shifty player that I can see playing a role at slot receiver and a perimeter type player that you get the ball to in space. He runs good routes has excellent feet and has soft hands. I would like to see him improve upon his speed to become a more viable option for colleges to recruit. With still two more years before graduation he has plenty of time to improve upon his speed. Definitely a player to keep an eye on moving forward. He is currently ranked at 17 amongst all running backs in New England for class of 2026.

Film Highlight Review: Maxwell is a dynamic offensive weapon. At RB he is not only explosive but very elusive in space. Very rarely goes down on first contact because he is tough to square up. Shows good balance and vision through the LOS. Can also be a factor in the pass game with his hands and route running ability. He is a bit undersized, but shows a ton of production with his impressive skill set.
Projection: His physical measurables (height and weight) align him as a Division 3 prospect.

Twitter: https://twitter.com/MaxBaroni2rnBaroni is a rising sophomore who saw Varsity time as a freshman last season. His 2022 season film verifies, his playmaking abilities and showed good quickness and field vision when carrying the ball during his freshman season. Some may view him as a bit undersized at 5’7″ but his athletic talent is one that many coaches love. He has obvious quickness combined with good balance and body control. He executes crisp routes as a receiver and he has a very fluid running capability when carrying the ball from the rb position.

He is ranked as the #4 class of 2026 “Wide Receiver” in Massachusetts and also the # 8 ranked “Wide Receiver” in the New England. He attends Minnechaug Regional in Massachusetts.
In view of his film, I came away impressed with this young man. Most importantly with his vision. He is slippery and can easily cut, plant change direction all while running inside and through interior line of scrimmages. He has excellent balance and body control. His effort for YAC is good. He is difficult to tackle in open field and he can juke to make defenders miss without giving up quickness and speed to get up field. He has reliable hands, good flexibility, and loose hips seen in his skill set. He is going to be name known in the New England moving forward. Has time and room to continue growing and developing. Very good athletic abilities.
