During an otherwise difficult season on the south side of Des Moines, the sophomore Jones provided hope for a brighter future. The linebacker collected 36.5 tackles, 29 of which were of the solo variety. Jones accounted for three tackles for loss and recovered a fumble, and chipped in six catches for 59 yards. During his 10th-grade highlight video, Jones looks the part of an active middle linebacker that ends plays. He moves well in a straight line and laterally. Jones diagnoses what’s coming quickly and wastes little time getting downhill. He has a projectable frame that can comfortable add weight and strength without the loss of agility that makes him effective already.
