Max Gardner
About Max
Expert Analysis
Cole Laing | Prep Redzone Scout
Max is another good wide receiver touted on St. Michael’s offense. He can run the route tree with good separation quickness to provide an open target for his QB. He is an elusive runner with the ball and will quickly turn up field after the catch, showing good foot speed. On defense, he plays corner back opposite of Germaine Gillion and is also a shutdown corner. He has quick hands to engage the WR, with good COD and agility to break on the ball, giving up only one TD on the season.

While teammate Jonathan Barnett Jonathan Barnett 6'1" | 185 lbs | WR Saint Michael The Archangel | 2025 VA got most of the shine for Saint Michaels this week, Max Gardner Max Gardner 5'11" | 165 lbs | WR Saint Michael the Archangel | 2025 State VA was not to be ignore either. Making a couple catches early to set the tone, Gardner looked good and is ready for more.

Max Danilo Gardner had 42 receptions with 6 scores as a junior and figure to have a major role with the Warriors offense in 2024. Gardner is a very good route runner and knows how to box out defenders for any 50/50 ball heading his way. He has a long deceptive stride too, I can see why would be a matchup problem.

I wrote about Saint Michaels rising star Max Gardner Max Gardner 5'11" | 165 lbs | WR Saint Michael the Archangel | 2025 State VA last winter and it’s clear he got our whole staff’s attention with his ranking. A top ranked receiver who gets to catch passes from Nahson Wilson, yeah Gardner is in line for big things this fall:
Gardner is set for a monster senior season for the Warriors, he hauled in over 6oo receiving yards last fall as a junior. In a high explosive offense the rising senior had 42 receptions and 6 touchdowns, which is even more impressive considering the amount of talent on that roster. Gardner can play both corner and wideout, and he also makes an impact on special teams too. I think his next stop in college will be at receiver personally, the way he runs his route tree, you have to keep him in the game offensively.
