Notes: Bates is a rapid rising inside linebacker with the right frame and length you look for in a FCS+ prospect. He can run sideline to sideline and is a sure tackler that packs a punch at the POA and can make plays in space and rush the passer from various angles. Bates also shows some cover abilities downfield, a very high football IQ and is always around the ball and should be a spring name to note as he starts fielding more offers.
