Matthew Pownall Matthew Pownall Matthew Pownall 5'11" | 180 lbs | DB/WR North Penn | 2026 State PA is a talented athlete who has already committed to playing football at the Naval Academy. Playing against Pennridge for the 6A District 1 Title, Pownall and company won 21-14. Pownall played well; he rushed 175 yards and two touchdowns. His ability to make defenders miss is excellent. He is also a good defensive back who makes plays all over the field. Nice win and performance by Pownall.

On offense, he was used as a running back and wide receiver. In both positions, he made a ton of plays. He can score anytime he touches the ball because he has elite speed. His ability to run routes and separate from defensive backs is impressive. He also catches the ball well between defenders. Also on defense is a good defensive back who has excellent coverage skills. Pownall is a good prospect on both sides of the ball.

Matthew Pownall Matthew Pownall Matthew Pownall 5'11" | 180 lbs | DB/WR North Penn | 2026 State PA played safety last year for North Penn. He did a good job in coverage by playing both zone and man-to-man coverages. In zone coverage, he did a nice job dropping deep and keeping everything in front of him. In man-to-man he showed good skills.  Pownall also did a nice job in run support. Coming up field to make plays in the open field. Pownall is a good safety who makes plays all over the field.
