About Matthew

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I bring a Dual Threat gameplay to my team. I strive to be as impactful as possible so being fast and accurate are my focuses on each play.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I bring confidence, composure and work ethic to my team, on and off the field. I work hard and let that speak for me. Some have described me as a quiet leader but that is because I choose to speak when it will be impactful not just rambling on all the time. I value a good sense of humor and tend to be so driven that I have a tendency towards being positive most of the time.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

No, I am really focused on my education and play 3 sports in an effort to improve my skills for football. Eye on the prize, they say.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I value positive leaders who inspire. When I am in a position of leadership I work to inspire others to reach their fullest potential. I appreciate playing multiple sports because the team dynamics are so different in each. Teamwork is the key, always. Our team is so dedicated and talented, we work hard together and that is so rewarding. I do community service every other month with my family.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Honestly, my life has been pretty posh. I am lucky to have a really supportive family. I am able to focus on myself and that has been an opportunity I try not to take for granted.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am learning what I like and have been to a handful of colleges so far. I am excited to see more!
