First off, huge kudos to Matthew Santosuosso for having all four of his most recent tapes on his Twitter. The young man makes it easy to evalaute his game, something I’m sure college coaches at the next level will appreciate if they come across his name. Santosuosso also makes things look easy when running the read-option sets in this Bishop Guertin offense. Smart behind center, Santosuosso knows when to give or tuck the ball in mesh sets with his backs. The senior quarterback has enough wheels to hurt a defense’s perimeter, often taking QB keepers the distance if a defense doesn’t contain him inside. His prowess as a runner is vital to the team’s success in the red zone as well. Santosuosso can still throw the football, he isn’t a one-trick pony despite his ability to beat you with his legs. He can dart the football in the short/intermediate game with accuracy. His first tape against Nashua South showcases what he can do with his arm. He’s also a solid defensive back from what I hear. His stock is rising.
