Current Recruiting Status: Announced his commitment to Holy Cross prior to the season, announced recently his decision to decommit and explore further options. This is likely due to the influx of options being presented his way post-commitment. Not much to sugarcoat here, there is a monstrous pass-rusher available, one that is still moldable, one that is still growing. It’s highly likely that Smith has heard from schools without him announcing said schools. A 6’4, 235-pound pass-rusher is hard to find, they don’t grow on trees. Smith was close to being ranked inside the top 35.
