Mason Anderson is another name who I believe will have an exceptional Junior Season, and breakout at the D1 Level. The St. Francis WR, picked up an offer from UMass this weekend after being invited to the UA All American Camp Series. Anderson displays an excellent size standing at 6’0″ 180-Pounds, and is one of the top prospects in 2028 ranking 16th in the state. After talking to him, Anderson gave us a quote he uses as motivation.
Push yourself, because nobody is going to do it for you
Congratulations on your Offer Mason!

Anderson had a breakout year as a freshman, where he played mostly RB at Lake Shore. He should make a smooth transition to WR as he is tall with a big catch radius. He transferred to St. Francis this off-season where he will face steeper competition.

Not many freshmen get noticed on varsity right away but Anderson took Class B by storm. In week 1, he ran for 84 yards on 20 carries while snagging 2 INTs on defense. Mason can also be utilized as a WR. Where the future lies is still up in the air but he may emerge as a top Class of ’28 prospect.

Few freshman can make an impact in varsity football and while Lake Shore is in the process of rebuilding their program, Anderson made a name for himself. He is an amazing athlete as a runner, receiver and at free safety. Although he is list at 6′ 180 lbs, he looks much bigger on film. He has excellent football intuition that cannot be taught and will be a nightmare for opposing defenses for the next three seasons.

Anderson, arguably one of the most productive freshmen in Buffalo despite missing a few games this season, totaled these numbers through just five games played.
67 Carries – 349 yards – 3TD
11 Catches – 115 Yards – 1TD
28 Tackles – 2 INT – 2PD
1 KR TD – 28.0 yard KR avg
The stats won’t blow you away, but between that and what you see on film where his athleticism stands out. There are still areas to develop as a Freshman, but he has great burst and twitch. His long speed looks solid. The competition isn’t the fastest, but he can pull away against those guys. He shows some natural ball skills as a returner, receiver, and safety.
