Cook was a 4th Team All State honoree as an All Purpose player and a 2nd team All Catholic and All-WNY Third Team. Dom was 2nd on the Red Raiders with 950 All Purpose yards and 12 TDs and is an exceptional Safety with a bright future ahead.

Cook is a first year Red Raider that can play a variety of positions, whether at RB, WR or DB. Dom’s measurables are not off the charts but what he brings is a technically sound game with a high football IQ so whatever position he is put at this season, he will flourish.

Dom is an overall fantastic athlete with excellent vision and great mechanics. He is one of the most sound prospects in WNY, technique wise. While he is a viable option at RB, Cook is also an exceptional Safety. His transfer to St. Francis this offseason will tell a little more on which side of the ball his future lies.

Cook Jr. was the biggest name to change schools in this class, as next season he will be with St. Francis in Buffalo. Cook Jr. is a dynamic two-way athlete with potential at the next level at RB or SAF.
On tape, he shows great change of direction and quickness. He is the type of player who has a knack for finding the ball defensively and shows good ball skills both ways. He can make guys miss offensively and has the skill set to be a three-down receiver who can make an impact as a receiver out wide or out of the backfield.
I’m pretty split right now on what side of the ball he ends up playing; for now I do know that he shows on tape the baseline athleticism required to play at a high level in college.

Cook Jr. flashed a ton in his limited varsity opportunities at RB and SAF for St. Joe’s, and those opportunities were few and far between. He wouldn’t have been ranked without a live evaluation or seeing the way he moves and his body type.
The film is solid. You see his quickness when he moves and his smoothness when making quick cuts with the ball in his hands. He has fluid hips and can turn and break on the ball defensively. Overall, there are not enough reps to get a feel for his long speed and just based on his freshman stuff I think Safety is his best position. When he does play RB he runs hard and shows good vision to find holes and open space. Positionally, time will tell but it is clear he is one of the best young prospects in this class.

Taking reps on both sides of the ball, Cook Jr. has the athleticism of a DI prospect. Although positionally, he could probably play RB or SAF at the next level; I was impressed by what he could do in coverage.
Cook Jr has fluid hips, can explode out of breaks, and shows effective closing speed to impact the catch point. Cook Jr.’s feet move quickly, and there rarely are any missteps. Cook Jr is one of the top WNY prospects in any class, and it showed on the field.
