The first word that comes to my mind when watching Marshall Kmiecik is “playmaker”. He has the ability, and will take advantage of it, to beat you through the air and on the ground. That is explained in New Prairie’s run to the state final this year, ultimately falling to East Central. The scheme Kmiecik plays in isn’t exactly pass heavy but when given the opportunity, he excels, averaging 21 yards per completion and throwing 16 touchdown passes compared to 5 interceptions. Kmiecik possesses the ability to move around in the pocket and extend plays, all while keeping his eyes down field. If he doesn’t like what he sees, he’s not afraid to tuck it and run. In fact, in 2022, Kmiecik threw for 1,356 yards and added 1,383 yards on the ground. Between his plus arm and knack to find positive yardage every play, Kmiecik is primed for an incredible senior season. After taking down a few school records last year, we could see him break more in 2023.
