took a substantial leap in this rankings update. With great size for a corner, we see his brand of football be a bit more of the physical kind. Comfortable in press-bail coverage, he uses his hands and length well. This, combine with his ability to break nicely on the ball, causes a lot of pass breakups and forced throws. I like how Dorsey tackles, too – doing so low and rolling when appropriate.

Marquet Dorsey like Dorilas, is making a move, this time from Don Bosco to DePaul Catholic. Having only played half a season due to transferring mid-season, Dorsey will need to prove he can maintain his high level of performance in his new environment.
Watching his skill set, the first thing you notice is his solid athleticism. He has a great cornerback body with good length and size at 6’2”. However, transitioning from Don Bosco to DePaul Catholic, he must demonstrate his ability to adapt to new coaching and systems. Additionally, he needs to prove that he’s the missing piece for DePaul Catholic to finally overcome Bergen Catholic.
Joining Ohio State commit Deshaun Stewart, another standout defensive back, Dorsey and Stewart form a formidable duo. This pairing should put DePaul Catholic in a better position to challenge Bergen Catholic and potentially become one of the best shutdown corner duos in New Jersey. I’m looking for Marquet Dorsey to replicate the level of output, production, and consistent play that he showcased at Don Bosco.

MarQuet Dorsey Jr., a highly touted cornerback, possesses the physical traits that characterize a top-tier player, evidenced by a plethora of offers from esteemed programs such as Penn State, Virginia Tech, Arizona State, Florida, and Wisconsin, even before his junior season commenced. Despite a midseason transfer from Don Bosco to DePaul Catholic, both prominent programs, the reasons behind this move remain speculative. As Dorsey transitions between schools, sustaining the consistency that attracted college coaches will be crucial. His standout attributes include an all-encompassing skill set, adeptness in both zone and man coverage, and a lengthy frame. Notably, Dorsey excels in getting physical, impacting the run game by setting edges and disrupting screens. While possessing the potential to become the premier cornerback in his class, Dorsey is labeled as having the “most to prove,” a designation influenced by his notable speed and the challenge of facing top wide receiver
