As a sophomore Council showed the ability to be a big-time offensive weapon for the Rockets. He has excellent vision and an explosive burst as a one cut running back. After he makes his move, he has the explosive speed to take it to the house on any play. He runs with great tempo and has the ability to make guys miss. Even though he’s not a big back he has the leg drive and contact balance to run through tackles. Because of his size he could move out to receiver at the next level. You see on a couple of plays that he easily has the ability to line up at slot and be explosive route runner as well. They also used him a lot on jet sweeps. Regardless of how it comes Council is a player that defenses should fear when he gets the ball in his hands. Marcus is also a game changer on special teams as a punt and kick returner.
