Milburn finished the 2025 season with 1,348 yards and 20 total touchdowns. Just like his on-field highlights suggested, Milburn’s combination of short-area quickness and straight-line speed stood out during the 1v1 segment. He has physical toughness as well. There was one rep where he fights off contact and pulls away from the linebacker while breaking into an out route, ultimately making a tip-toe catch near the sidelines. Able to watch him run different routes: whip, corner, out, and wheel. Did a nice job of creatign space of fakes and hesitation moves. Not the biggest back, so being able to show his value as a three-down back should help his recruiting cause.
Wooten was named a first team 2026 WCAC Metro Division running back. In the WCAC Metro Championship game against PVI, Milburn carried the football 14 times for 151 yards, caught four passes for 57 yards, and scored three touchdowns. On one of his touchdown scores, he lined up in the slot and ran a seam route straight down the middle of the field, splitting two defenders, to catch a 28-yard pass in stride for a touchdown. His 61-yard touchdown run featured him taking the handoff, cutting to the outside, turning up field, running inside of his wide receiver’s block, and sprinting the remaining 45-plus yards for a touchdown. A very versatile athlete on offense.
Milburn rushed for 1,515 yards and scored 18 total touchdowns last year. He was also named the WCAC Co-Offensive Player of the Year last season. I want to see more of what I saw last season. His listed size (5-8, 170) might be the only reason why he hasn’t received an early offer or two from at least an FCS school in the region. I’d like to see if he’s gotten bigger and stronger… and even taller. The speed, vision, patience, quickness, and toughness are all there. He checks a lot of the boxes. Milburn had a tremendous sophomore season. Let’s see if he can improve upon that and be greater in his junior year season.
