Maddox Anderson Maddox Anderson 5'11" | 235 lbs | DL Grayson County | 2027 KY recorded 3.0 sacks against Butler County during a 21-13 win last Friday night. Grayson County improved to 4-0 as a result, while Anderson left with his best performance of the young season so far. Anderson is a fantastic athlete who is agile enough to chase down ball carriers deep downfield. I believe his athleticism, size, and speed give him the versatility to play anywhere on the defensive line, but he’s most comfortable at defensive tackle or nose guard. Anderson also projects well at the next level offensively, where he plays guard.

Maddox Anderson Maddox Anderson 5'11" | 235 lbs | DL Grayson County | 2027 KY is more athletic than a typical defensive tackle, which enables him to break off his block and chase down faster skill players deep downfield. He doesn’t blindly attack off the snap. Instead, he keeps his eyes in the backfield and has demonstrated an ability to shed off his block and onto the ball carrier coming through his gap. Anderson’s presence in the trenches resulted in a pair of fumbles and subsequent recoveries during the 2025 season. He also plays offensive line, where he’s an agile and athletic guard who can successfully pull and execute combo and reach blocks effectively.

Maddox Anderson Maddox Anderson 5'11" | 235 lbs | DL Grayson County | 2027 KY is a 2027 defensive lineman from Grayson County High School in Leitchfield, Kentucky. Standing 5’10” and weighing 208 pounds, he plays as an offensive guard and defensive end for the Cougars. While Anderson has limited film, it does not take many clips to see his lower body strengths and ability to cause distribution in the backfield. Maddox, is an athlete I will be keeping tabs on.

My final defensive lineman to watch at Sunday’s camp is Maddox Anderson Maddox Anderson 5'11" | 235 lbs | DL Grayson County | 2027 KY . Anderson is coming off a solid sophomore season. He lines up at defensive end where he is very reliable against the run. Anderson has a great nose for the football and plays with a high motor, using his speed to get to the ball carrier quickly to make the tackle. He finished this past season with 49 tackles and two tackles for loss. Anderson also finished his junior year with one sack. Maddox doesn’t currently hold any offers but he should be a player to keep an eye on as he continues to develop.
