About Mack

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Confident. Decisive. Control the huddle and offensive game plan. Strong pocket presence with eyes down field, playmaker, high IQ , able to read and anticipate, mobile through the pocket and will extend plays. Aggressive and love to attack defenders. Trust my arm, and film study and will thread the needle , but also understand distance and down and make the right decision for the team success.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Leader, very coachable, tough, poised, always think positive, team first mentality, hype, confident, calm under pressure, vocal, focused on winning.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Scholar Ballers, Principals Honor Roll, Leadership & Public Service.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Leadership I was the only junior voted as team captain by my peers. I’m not afraid to speak up. I thrive under pressure and always looking to put my team in the best position to succeed. I want to be the QB who elevates those around me. I help Coach a youth baseball team. I enjoy passing on my IQ of the game. I’m always open to learn more about giving back, and donating my time to help others.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Just two days before Christmas, I broke my arm, requiring surgery and rehab to recover. When I returned, I was met with even more challenges , a new coaching staff and 2 transfers at QB. I embraced the challenge. Thru perseverance, and determination, I won the position battle. Then led my team to a historic achievement: reaching the CIF championship for the first time in our school’s history.

What type of college are you looking for?

In a perfect world, I’d be looking for a School that has stability, a strong academic profile, community, culture, and can provide me an environment where I can grow, not just as a student-athlete but as a man, with strong mentors. West or Mid West based so my family would be able to see me play Football. I’m also not afraid of being part of establishing a new culture, and building a winning team.

Cooper threw for 2716 yards with 21 touchdowns for Wilson last season and led them to a CIF championship appearance.

Prairie View A&M offered Cooper in May and he also had an offer from Avila University.

He is a big guy who has good timing with his receivers and knows when to put touch on the ball and when to fire it in there.

Cooper is a polished thrower and put together a very solid Junior season for Long Beach-Wilson in 2024. He is a mobile quarterback that does a good job at buying time with his legs and moving the pocket while able to throw across his body accurately and with good touch. In the pocket he is a very efficient passer that moves through his progressions quickly and scans the field without taking off to run too early. He shows good anticipation leading his receivers open it can fit the ball into tight windows over the middle and clearly trusts his arm. At 6’4 and change, he is a big signal caller with the frame to continue packing on the right weight, and is a no brainer next level kid.
