Expert Analysis
Rob Howe | Prep Redzone Scout
Patterson provided production on both sides of the ball as a South Central Calhoun junior in 2025. He rushed 65 times for 361 yards (5.6 YPC) and three touchdowns, and added nine receptions for 60 yards, earning second-team all-district laurels as a running back. On defense, he registered 24.0 tackles with 19 of them being of the solo variety. Patterson even completed three passes, proving he’d chip in wherever the team needed. He lists his position as Athlete/Quarterback, and his 11th-grade highlight video suggests he could project at multiple spots on the next level. Patterson gets downhill in a hurry as a ball carrier, making quick decisions, cutting sharply and accelerating fast. He can run over defenders or run away from them. The Titans utilize him effectively out of the wildcat formation and when lining him up in the slot, too. His abilities also work well on defense, where he’s a natural for the secondary. Patterson would contribute in special teams for a college as well.
