McEvoy has size that you cannot teach at 6’7 300lbs and on tape when you take a close look at his body type, he can continue to add to his frame. He is lean and has great length which he utilizes well. McEvoy is raw as a prospect, he shows some good lateral movement, quick feet, and the ability to move in space. Additionally, McEvoy shows good bend in his stance and does a good job of maintaining leverage even against smaller defenders that force him to play with low pad level. McEvoy wins a lot of reps because of his size, he needs to continue to develop the use of his hands and his initial punch. McEvoy can tend to torque and throw defenders, a skill that works against his level of competition but will struggle to translate to the next level. If McEvoy continues to develop and builds more strength he will be able to generate some knockback off his initial punch and then maintain blocks with his elite length. McEvoy has some traits that are intriguing for the next level.
