The Illinois State commit has been a deep ball threat all season, as he did just that once again in an opening round victory for over Homewood-Flossmoor. The senior wide receiver averaged 41 yards per reception for York on Saturday, as the Dukes raced to 9-1 on the season. Mailander tallied 147 yards on 4 catches. Most impressively, he scored on 3 of those receptions. The 6’0, 175 lbs playmaker is an elite route runner, showcasing the ability to stack defensive backs and create separation with his speed. Additionally, Mailander is dangerous after the catch, as he uses a variety of moves to make defenders miss. As York continues to roll, Mailander will be a big reason why for the rest of the playoffs.
