About Lukas

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Willing to put the team before my body. I am a hard blocker and aggressive from the first snap to the last. Powerful, Aggressive, Mean. Able to catch in traffic and track the ball into my hands.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Film junkie. Watching and reviewing game / practice film every day. I am a note taker; I take pages upon pages of notes to try and improve myself every day. Off the field, my mentality revolves around keeping my grades above a 4.0 -- my standards are different than the average player. 100% off-season lifting and camp attendance ever year. Friday is the pinnacle of my week.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

F.C.A - Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Honor Roll student, Link Crew leader, Green Dot certified

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed the skills to be an elite leader on my team. I am apart of my team's leadership council compiled of 8 guys where we meet and talk about the qualities of a leader and how to lead others and make them into strong minded young men. We emphasize working on credibility, accountability, and grit which are all aspects of my game that I implement every day.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I suffered 2 injuries during my high school career: Torn Meniscus and Scaphoid Fracture in my wrist. They took me out of the game physically for a while, but nothing got me more motivated to give everything I had to the game when I was recovering and ultimately when I returned. I pushed myself in rehab and was able to come back in the matter of one off-season for my knee and 3 weeks for my wrist.

What type of college are you looking for?

A college that wants to teach me. I am looking for a college that can provide a quality education for my career post college while also giving me the essential skills to become the best football player and developing man I can be. This college should be ready to take me in and be amazed by my work ethic on and off the field. Somewhere relatively close to home in Illinois.
