One of my favorite players that I have watched on film is Lucas Delforte Lucas Delforte 6'0" | 180 lbs | LB Canandaigua Academy | 2024 State NY who is an LB & RB from Canandaigua Academy. The purse speed at both positions was like a straight flash of lighting. There is so much physical nature in his game that it is so shocking to see. For Delforte he will be entering his junior year standing in at 6’1” and weighing 185-pounds. Lucas spoke to me about how he wants to become the defensive player of the year for class A. Being able to contribute to the success of his team in every possible way is Delforte’s mindset coming into every game.

At the LB position, the ability to move from point A to point B was such a standout in Delforte’s game. Every time you looked; Lucas was around the ball making big-time tackles in space. Attacking low and with power was a consistent trait that granted him so much success in bringing ball carriers to the ground. There was so much aggression coming at the ball carrier and when disengaging from blocks. The opposing players had a tough time trying to match the athleticism that Lucas brings. A major standout in Delforte’s game is his high running motor to pursue no matter the cost. Lucas is a LB that can play inside or even the outside as the off the ball LB because of his electric ability to fly around the football field.

Lucas has won 2 sectional titles for football so far and is looking to add a 3rd this upcoming fall. Keeping his eye on the prize but also focusing on academics first are statements that Lucas made and are exactly what you want to hear from a team’s star player. A very true leader and an excellent football player that is one many scouts’ radars this coming fall.
