Kickers are people and players too. Trust me, if you don’t have a kicker that can come through and make valuable kicks for you, then it makes your games even more challenging to walk away with the win. At McQuaid Jesuit High School, they have a kicker that is ready to take an even bigger leap this coming fall in Dominic Sansone.
Sansone is currently ranked 3rd in New York State when it comes to kicking and 49th in the United States via Kohl’s Kicking and the worldwide leader in ESPN. In addition to being the kicker, Dominic punts as well for his high school. The reason for Dominic’s success as a kicker is because of his kicking coach, Sam Watts. Watts and Sansone have been working together for almost a year and a half. The two have worked tirelessly to refine Sansone’s swing to be smoother with more accuracy and all integrated with fast movement. Sansone has gotten his kickoffs into the 70-yard range, and he is now capable of hitting 50–55-yard field goals.
Most importantly, which I thought was very interesting is that Dominic serves as a leader by being a class officer and admissions ambassador president at McQuaid. Academically, Sansone holds a 4.0 GPA with a numerical average of 96.577. For the upcoming season, Sansone has laid out goals of having an 80% + touch back rate and having a kickoff long of 75-yards. Dominic also wants to have a net punt average of 40-yards with a 4.0 second hang time. Being able to have a 100% PAT rate, a 75% + FG make rate, and lastly an FG longer than 45-yards are all in his sights to accomplish. This is a dedicated young man that has a big year ahead of him.

A truly do-it-all WR that can run any route in the route tree with speed and quickness. Some of the best routes ran were post, slants, in, and out routes. The flexibility to be used at the X, Y, and Z receiver spots were shown throughout Messiah Hampton Messiah Hampton 6’1″ | 170 lbs | WR Monroe | 2026 State NY ‘s film. This is a wide out that is coming off a huge freshman season for Monroe High School and is looking to do even more in year 2. If you want to talk about physically when making a catch in traffic, then Hampton is your guy to see. Hampton was able to make contested catches at will, including big time post routes near the end zone to out-man the defender attacking after the football.
A keynote is that Hampton is still young and stands in at 6’2” already! There is still so much room to grow in height and his game. Hampton has large natural strides after the catch which allows him to gain a large amount of yardage in a flash. There was no struggle to out-run defenders in open space. The pure speed and quickness that Hampton has allows him to be such an outstanding playmaker. The majority of the time, Messiah was able to cause defenders to miss their tackles by putting a simple move on, or simply out running the defender for the extra yardage.
Ending the upcoming year with a state’s win would be big time for Hampton and the rest of his Monroe High School teammates. Monroe does have a very talented roster, and Hampton is a prime example of that talent. For Hampton however, receiving more offers from schools is a top goal of his coming into this fall.

One of my favorite players that I have watched on film is Lucas Delforte Lucas Delforte 6’0″ | 180 lbs | LB Canandaigua | 2024 State NY who is an LB & RB from Canandaigua Academy. The purse speed at both positions was like a straight flash of lighting. There is so much physical nature in his game that it is so shocking to see. For Delforte he will be entering his junior year standing in at 6’1” and weighing 185-pounds. Lucas spoke to me about how he wants to become the defensive player of the year for class A. Being able to contribute to the success of his team in every possible way is Delforte’s mindset coming into every game.
At the LB position, the ability to move from point A to point B was such a standout in Delforte’s game. Every time you looked; Lucas was around the ball making big-time tackles in space. Attacking low and with power was a consistent trait that granted him so much success in bringing ball carriers to the ground. There was so much aggression coming at the ball carrier and when disengaging from blocks. The opposing players had a tough time trying to match the athleticism that Lucas brings. A major standout in Delforte’s game is his high running motor to pursue no matter the cost. Lucas is a LB that can play inside or even the outside as the off the ball LB because of his electric ability to fly around the football field.
Lucas has won 2 sectional titles for football so far and is looking to add a 3rd this upcoming fall. Keeping his eye on the prize but also focusing on academics first are statements that Lucas made and are exactly what you want to hear from a team’s star player. A very true leader and an excellent football player that is one many scouts’ radars this coming fall.

Montero Amos
Montero Amos
Brighton High School has one big time agile run stuffer here on the defensive line with Montero Amos. This is a 188-pound defensive lineman that has played a variety of positions such as NT, DT, and DE. This is a football player that uses all the right words when talking about what his teammates and him want to accomplish by the end of next season. Helping his team in the most impactful way is what Amos said he values the most about playing the game of football. Taking a lead and setting the tone for the football game is how Montero teammates and him have on their minds entering every ball game.
Montero was primarily used in a 0 and 1 technique as a NT and DT on Brighton’s defensive line. What allowed Montero to dominate in success when getting off his blocks was his ability to dip his shoulder and bend. Plenty of times, Amos had a quick jump off the LOS and the opposing offensive linemen trying to block Amos struggled at controlling his flexibility at the point of attack. What I loved the most in Montero game was his motor and drive to finish a play. Rarely would you see Amos give up on a play if he did not fully secure a tackle. The high-level pursuit was always a highlight and a treat to see.
By the end of next season, Amos wants to leave with an undefeated season. Helping Amos get to that undefeated season is production. The production is having around 5 sacks each game which is a goal he has set to fulfill that undefeated season.

Justin Medina Justin Medina 5’8″ | 175 lbs | RB Rush Henrietta | 2027 NY is a freshman that will be playing at the varsity level this fall for Rush Henrietta High School. Medina already stands in at 5’8” and weighs 175-pounds. Justin is a young player that was able to make impactful plays on both sides of the football for Rush Henrietta. On defense, Justin plays the OLB position and on offense he plays the RB position. The majority of Medina snaps and big-time plays came at the RB spot. Coming into this fall, Justin spoke about how he wants to put-up big-time numbers as a freshman and does not want to have one fumble on the year.
When you turn on Justin’s tape, it was amazing to see the pure talent to out-run defenders on carries. In addition to runs, Medina also was able to make big-time returns on Rush Henrietta’s special teams. A true playmaker is what Medina is because of the array of moves that he has in open space. Justin knows how to be patient in letting his blocks develop, but there is a large amount of aggressiveness to attack with elite speed into holes. The ability to stop on a dime and to weave in & out of traffic was put on full display throughout Justin’s carries. There is no shying away from contact in Medina’s game whatsoever. This is an RB that is not afraid to lower his shoulder to run a tackler over.
Overall, Medina is a young player and has room to grow, but the ability to play the game with aggressiveness and force are traits that you like to see. I am excited to see how this young man plays the game of football at the varsity level next year and years to come.

Jude York
Jude York
Originally, Jude York played the game of football at Orchard Park High School in Buffalo NY. However, York moved to Canandaigua, NY having to make a quick adjustment as a sophomore. Now as a senior, York is ready to explode onto the scene after adjusting to his new home in upstate NY. This past season, York had 484 all-purpose yards with 4 TD’s at the WR position for Canandaigua Academy High School. In addition to WR, York plays defensive back. Jude is an active young man who plays basketball and lacrosse in addition to the game of football.
When it comes to the WR position, York had 19 receptions for 256 receiving yards. Jude is a physical WR that utilizes his size to break tackles after the catch is made. The ability to keep his balance and to use his strong core to withstand huge blows was shown consistently. Jude can run fluid routes and was even able to run some very sharp double moves to lose a DB in coverage. What really impressed me was York’s ability to high point the football to make contested catches. Will lay his body on the line when it comes to making catches in traffic.
Over on the defensive side, York produced tremendously where he was able to secure 41 tackles, have 3 INTs, and 3 fumble recoveries. The majority of Jude’s play came at the safety’s roles, but there was some time playing down in the box for York. In those roles, York did an outstanding job of being able to disguise himself, and then break right on a pass to disrupt the play. York truly is a huge under the radar player that I am excited to see play this upcoming season.

Tyler Calabrese
Tyler Calabrese
The word to describe the play that Tyler Calabrese produces on the football field would be “power”. There is so much power in the young players’ game at the RT position for Canandaigua Academy High School. Tyler has been a part of two Section V titles and is aiming to add more to his resume before he graduates. Tyler spoke about how the coaching staff at Canandaigua has helped him a lot as a player and even more as a person off the field. Those are statements that you love to hear.
For the pure football standpoint, the in-line blocking that came from Calabrese was thrilling to see. The ability to drive his blocks 10–15 yards down the field really had defenders being slow in their action to get up from being buried in the turf. Being able to open up running lanes on reach blocks, especially crashing into the B-gap was outstanding to see from Tyler. Additionally, to be on the move to find a block in the second level of the defense was no issue whatsoever for Tyler. Calabrese is explosive but also balance in his pass drops at the RT spot. So many times, Tyler granted his QB space and time to deliver passes on the right side. Attacking upon the opposing defender with brute strength was key for Calabrese.
What really impressed me was Tyler’s ability to get out into space and take on a block in the screen game. For a 220-pound OT to be that fast, but also that powerful is amazing to see on tape. Calabrese is a very underrated football player whose stock I expect to rise incredibly during this upcoming season.
