Koob’s recruitment hit a speed-bump last fall after getting off to a great start during his first two prep seasons. An injury sidelined the talented specialist for all but one game in 2026. He made the most of it by converting all three of his extra points and his lone field-goal attempt, which was good from 33 yards. The abbreviated performance followed a sophomore campaign that saw him connect on 4 of 6 field goals with a long from 38 yards out. Koob posted his ?s=20" rel="nofollow">junior highlights, which included a 68-yard kickoff for a touchback confirming his leg strength. The 33-yard field goal from the right hash mark had plenty of leg. Kohl’s Kicking had this to say about him: Koob made an impressive 16 field goals during the charting portion of the the 2025 Kohl’s National Scholarship Invitational, demonstrating consistency and accuracy. He also earned a 98.70 kickoff score, and his best ball traveled 72 yards with a 2.96-second hang time. Koob also finished with a punt score of 85.27. With continued refinement in hang time and lift, Koob has the tools to continue his growth as a specialist.
