Guilford is a solid dual sport athlete (football/baseball) that led Sunrise Mountain in tackles as a junior with 72 total adding 11TFL. Possesses a good frame with length and growth potential to add mass at 6’3” 215 lbs. He’s extremely active playing downhill with urgency and aggressiveness. Can take on and shed blocks with heavy hands and routinely finishes tackles with violence. He’s instinctual playing with plus anticipation and play recognition skills to diagnose run/pass and locate the ball. He’s quick to react and close space. Against the run, he’s physical when filling gaps while maintaining good positioning and leverage. Flashes good positional versatility by being effective playing TE, H-back, or even lining up in the backfield in short yardage situations. He’s a throwback player that brings toughness and physicality to both sides of the ball. First offered by Ottawa (IA) but should see more coming in as the recruiting cycle progresses.
