Davis-Hilton isn’t a pure receiver for Mount Pleasant, but he’s likely going to play the position at the next level. He’s elusive in the open field and because of that trait, he was often used as a gadget guy as a freshman, racking up over 500 rushing yards and 250 receiving yards. His soft hands, long speed, and flashes of next-level route-running give him a projection as a receiver.

We’ve written about Davis-Hilton in a Community Film Room episode and we’ve made him a receiver in our database despite him not playing that position often as a freshman. There’s no doubt, though. The soft hands, impressive long speed and flashes of route running make him an excellent receiver prospect.

Davis-Hilton was a versatile playmaker for both junior varsity and varsity at Mount Pleasant as a freshman. Used as a traditional running back, H-back, and special-teamer, Davis-Hilton excelled. When he finds open field, he’s tough to catch. I think we’ll see him more as a receiver next year as he develops his route-running. For now, “Get him the ball in space” is a great strategy, as Davis-Hilton was at his best after the catch.
