He finished the regular season with 94 total tackles, 14 tackles for loss, seven sacks, and one interception. Against the run, Howard does a great job of reading the play and coming downhill to get to the ball carrier. Once he gets to the ball carrier, he does a great job of running his feet through contact to secure the tackle. He has also shown the ability to use his speed to win off the edge as a pass rusher. In pass coverage, he has shown the ability to read route combinations and put himself in a position to make a play on the ball. Howard also played a key role on offense as both a ball carrier and a receiver but I still liked what I saw from him the most on defense. Lofton is committed to Western Kentucky where I see him developing into a key player for them down the road.

He does a great job of reading the play and coming downhill to get to the ball carrier. Once he gets to the ball, he does a great job of running his feet through contact to secure the tackle or sacks. He also shows the ability to use his speed and strength to provide pressure off the edge as a pass rusher. Howard has also shown promise on offense, carrying the ball 55 times for 408 yards and 15 touchdowns while also catching 19 passes for 349 yards and three touchdowns. Lofton is committed to Western Kentucky where I believe he has the chance to develop into a very special player for them.
