Lincoln has been exceptional this season. He’s a key EDGE rusher who can drop into coverage if needed. He is quick off the line, has good footwork and quick, active hands. He shows good speed and pursuit and does well with creating pressure.

Ames is an exciting EDGE rusher and on-ball backer. He has a good bend, moves well laterally and has a good quick acceleration. He sheds his blocks fine and showcases good physicality to his game.

Ames is an exceptional athlete with good size and frame. He primarily lined up as an EDGE rusher but will be spending more time as a backer for the 2025 season. Ames shows good footwork and lateral quickness with good hip bend as traits that will tranistiion to a backer role and in coverage. He has good discipline and closing speed to further showcase his ability to be good in space and in coverage and should not get lost back peddling. Ames is a tremendous rusher with good speed and physicality with an array of moves to rush and beat a lineman. He shows great hip bend and those traits should transfer well to his backer role. It will be interesting if he is used as a LEO, that hybrid role could be his sweet spot and he won’t have to bulk up too much. Ames is an excellent prospect and should be recruited regionally and get looks at the power-four level, if he takes off as a backer then sky’s the limit.

Ames is an athletic prospect that shows initial quickness to read and react at the LOS. Strength at the POA to control and ability to shed blocks to get to the ball carrier. Burst to get upfield, hand usage to make quick contact and effort to push the pocket as a power rusher to get to the QB as a pass rusher.Ames has the size and athleticism to play the OLB/DE position in a 3-4 defensive type scheme at the next level.
