Dawson has great leaping ability, wins one-on-one battles and can make very acrobatic catches with the ball in the air. Very good target especially around the end zone and displays very good hands. Good release into the flat, flashes good top-end speed and burst.

Vernon | 2028 State OH is a very talented prospect from Mount Vernon High School who has seen his recruiting take big leaps forward this spring. Undoubtedly, teams are enamored with his size and strength. He is a very good pass-catching tight end with enough speed to be a legitimate threat with the ball in his hands. Dawson has picked up offers from Boston College, Indiana, and Florida since June. Expect him to have a breakout junior season.

Landon Dawson Landon Dawson 6'3" | 200 lbs | TE/EDGE Mt. Vernon | 2028 State OH is a big target over the middle of the field for Mount Vernon High School (OH). Dawson has good hands, can take heavy hits and still hang onto the ball, and has a lean 6-foot-4, 210-pound frame. On defense he is a proven pass rusher as an outside LB, where he recorded 43 tackles and six sacks last season and added an interception. His athleticism shines on tape, and after a strong college showcase, Miami, Virginia Tech, and Cincinnati all decided to jump into the mix for his services.
