Just recently taking himself off the football recruiting board by committing to play baseball at Mississippi State, Davila has taken a big step up with his football abilities this Fall and if the East TN talent wouldn’t have chosen the diamond, the Admirals senior could have landed himself on the D1 level. Power Five and D1 schools have started to take an interest with Davila and it’s based around his natural athletic abilities as well as his size and speed combination that can continue to develop further on the collegiate gridiron. Landis Davila Landis Davila 6'3" | 195 lbs | WR Farragut | 2024 State TN has been a big-time playmaker this season and continues to make a huge impact for his team. Davila possesses very good size and strong hands to win on a vertically plane and use his frame to box out defensive backs. Solid foot quickness, he shows suddenness off the line with nice speed to stack CB’s and tracks the ball well to finish. Great toughness and play strength, Davila can take big hits and stay on his feet with excellent balance. Overall, he is smart to find soft spots versus zone and maximize his yards after catch with quality decision making.

Davila has had a breakout show thus far through three games where he has produced two game winning touchdowns for his Admirals team as well as displaying outstanding hands and the ability to beat his man deep. This current Virginia Tech baseball commit is starting to turn himself into a possible D1 talent on the football field with continued progress this season and someone with the upside to get better once he arrives on a college campus. Davila is a big dude with a wide radius that can box out his defender, use his vert or simply out physical his opponent to get the ball. He is also sneaky fast with enough speed to get around the defensive back and work deep. If Davila does look harder into the football route, I’ll be curious to see where his recruitment goes as this East Tennessee wideout has the physical traits and talents to excel on the next level.

The passing game as a whole had a bit of a slow start but Davila scored the game winning touchdown again. He showed off the excellent body control and tracking of the football. Overall, Davila is a smooth operator and is very comfortable in contested situations. The vertical plane is where he is at his best and he just makes big time plays when it matters most.

Landis Davila Landis Davila 6'3" | 195 lbs | WR Farragut | 2024 State TN is a big body X-receiver at 6-foot-3, 195 pounds out of Farragut High School. He is a long striding vertical threat that wins in contested situations. Davila shows a good understanding of how to use his frame to box out. Good working the middle of the field, he displays good physical toughness and solid route running. Good through contact in the route stem, Davila also wins after the catch with play strength and contact balance. Overall, he has really soft hands and a big catch radius to make difficult catches look easy.
